Selfie Tip – Face Distortion
Hey! I’m a proponent of selfies. I do them myself, as well as more normal self-portraits, and many headshots of others. They’re here to stay. They’re ubiquitous. Some results come out better than others. Be aware that using a phone close up with its wide view lens can distort the nose, forehead, and overall shape of the head and face. Why?––because wide angle lenses inherently exaggerate the size of close objects and shrink the size of more distant things. Telephoto lenses by comparison, flatten or compress the normal appearance of what our eyes are accustomed to seeing. Watch the Story and see a demo!
