WTIC 1080 Radio Personalities- August 1979

Come back in time with me! 45+ years ago, I had several cool jobs photographing the people at WTIC Radio, which for quite some time was the dominant player in AM and FM broadcasting in the central Connecticut area. This is one of several group photos I did in 1979 (more to come later…). Bob Steele was probably the biggest star at the time, he had incredible appeal and following. As a kid I was aware of him. Greg Gilmartin did sports, Kathy Clark air traffic, Charlie Bagley weather, Ashley Martella morning news anchor, and Brian Dow news. Interesting tidbit––I lent Charlie one of my white umbrellas to hold for this photo to better associate him with being the weatherexpert!
